CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT IN AN
AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $74,500 TO TRICON CONSTRUCTION INC.,
AND APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE 1998-99 CAPITAL
IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM BUDGET ( CIP 99-5) TRANSFERRING
$22,400 FROM ACCOUNT NUMBER 51-13232-9720 AND
APPROPRIATING $16,000 FROM THE UNDESIGNATED GENERAL FUND
RESERVE TO THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM FUND
WHEREAS, the City desires to award the construction contract to the lowest responsible bidder,
Tricon Construction Inc., in an amount not to exceed $74,500; and
WHEREAS, a budget was established in 1997 for $60,000; and
WHEREAS, it is requested that the budget be increased by $38,000 for a total revised project
budget of $98,400; and
WHEREAS, $22,400 will be transferred from the Orange Park Pool Painting Project #51-13232-
9720 (96-97 Capital Improvement Program budget), with the remaining $16,000 to be appropriated from
the General Fund Undesignated Reserve.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
that the City Council awards a construction contract in an amount not to exceed $74,500 to Tricon
Construction Inc., and approving an amendment to the 1998-99 Capital Improvement Program budget
(CIP 99-5) transferring $22,400 from account number 51-13232-9720 and appropriating $16,000 from the
undesignated General Fund Reserve to the Capital Improvement Program Fund.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City
Council of the City of South San Francisco at a Regular meeting held on the 26th day of }larch
__, 1999 by the following vote:
