CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CAI JFORNIA
A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING TEAMSTERS, LOCAL 856 AS THE
RECOGNIZED EMPLOYEE REPRESENTATIVE FOR THE
CONFIDENTIAL UNIT
WHEREAS, the election was held from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in the Office of the City
Clerk, with results tabulated by the City Clerk while the Teamsters Vice president, Joe Lanthier,
and the Director of Human Resources were present; and
WHEREAS, of the 18 positions in the Unit, the vote was 16 to accept Teamsters as their
representative, which meets the criteria established in the Municipal Code for recognition.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco that the City Council hereby recognizes Teamsters, Local 856 as the recognized
employee representative for the Confidential Unit.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City
Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regul ar meeting held on the 11 day
of August ,1999 by the following vote:

Ponna,
NOES: Non~.
ABSTAIN: Nonn_
ABSENT: None.
