HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 119-1999RESOLUTION NO. 119-99 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF A PRELIMINARY THREE-YEAR PLAN TO THE PENINSULA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION AND AMENDING THE 1999-2000 OPERATING BUDGET ( NO. 00-2) FOR THE LIBRARY IN THE AMOUNT OF $39,160, WHICH WILL INCORPORATE THE GRANT FUNDS RECEIVED DUE TO THE FILING OF THE ABOVE PLAN WHEREAS, the South San Francisco Community Partnership's three goals are: Create a viable, effective, and sustainable community collaborative, kindergarten readiness and literacy and social competency for all third graders; and WHEREAS, the Preliminary Three-Year-Plan will be submitted to the Peninsula Partnership on October 1, 1999; and WHEREAS, once awarded by the Peninsula Community Foundation, the Peninsula Partnership's fiscal agent, funds are available for immediate use; and WHEREAS, the funds will augment the Library's operating budget for fiscal year 1999- 2000. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the City Council hereby authorizes the submittal of a Preliminary Three-Year-Plan to the Peninsula Partnership and amends the 1999-2000 Operating Budget (No. 00-2) for the Library in the amount of $39,160, which will incorporate the grant funds received due to the filing of the above plan. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a of September, 1999 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Joseph A.
