CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION GRANTING AN INCREASE IN SOLID
WASTE DISPOSAL RATES TO THE SCAVENGER
COMPANY PER THE TERMS OF SECTION 6.3 OF THE
FRANCHISE AGREEMENT DEALING WITH
EXTRAORDINARY ITEMS
WHEREAS, OX Mountain Landfill rates will increase effective September 1, 1999; and
WHEREAS, the increase based on Scavenger's projected usage of OX Mountain amounts to
$3.00 per ton, and results in an overall increase of $230,646 per year starting September 1999; and
WHEREAS, this increase in cost is to be offset by a provided increase in rates of 2.07%
based on revenue projections for that same twelve-month period; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco hereby grants a 2.07% increase in solid waste rates to the Scavenger Company per the
terms of Section 6.3 of the Franchise Agreement dealing with Extraordinary Items.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the
City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a Regular meeting held on the
8th day of September , 1999 by the following vote:
AYES:
Councilmembers Joseph A. Fernekes and Eugene R. Mullin,
Mayor Pro Tem Karyl Matsumoto and Mayor James L. Datzman
