HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 27-1998RESOLUTION NO. 27-98 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH MARK THOMAS & COMPANY, INC. IN THE AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $183,684, APPROVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATION FOR THE WIDENING OF CHESTNUT AVENUE BETWEEN HILLSIDE BOULEVARD AND COMMERCIAL AVENUE, AND APPROVING THE CALL FOR BIDS FOR DESIGN OF WIDENING CHESTNUT AVENUE BETWEEN HILLSIDE BOULEVARD AND COMMERCIAl. AVENUE WHEREAS, this project is funded in the 1997-98 Capital Improvement Program budget; and WHEREAS, this project will widen Chestnut Avenue to four lanes (two in each direction) for the entire span of the project and will include right and left pockets a various key locations. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council the City South San Francisco that it hereby authorizes the City Manager to prepare and execute an agreement for professional services to Mark Thomas & Company, Inc in the amount not to exceed $183,684. The City Manager shall not execute the agreement until a meeting is held with adjoining property owners. In the event that the property owners object to the project, the City Manager shall advise the City Council and shall with hold execution of the agreement until approved again by the City Council. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council approves the plans and specifications, and the call for bids for the design on widening Chestnut Avenue between Hillside Boulevard and Commercial Avenue. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a re§u ] a r meeting held on the 11 th day of _ March , 1998 by the following vote: AYES: Counci lmembers Matsumoto, John R.
