HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 32-1998 RESOLUTION NO. 32-98 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT TO REPUBLIC ELECTRIC IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $26,200 FOR THE CHESTNUT AVENUE / EL CAMINO REAL TRAFFIC SIGNAL PROJECT AND APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE 1997-98 CAPITAL !MPROVF. MENT PROGRAM BUDGET ( CIP 98-20) WHEREAS, staff recommends awarding the construction contract to the lowest responsible bidder, Republic Electric; and WHEREAS, the projected cost for this project is $36,000; and WHEREAS, the Capital Improvement Program included $30,000 for this project, the additional $6,000 will be allocated from the Gas Tax fund. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that it hereby authorizes an award of contract to Republic Electric in an amount not to exceed $26,200 for the Chestnut Avenue/El Camino Real Traffic Signal project. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council approves an amendment to the 1997-98 Capital Improvement Program budget (CIP 98-20) to add $6,000 for the Chestnut Avenue / El Camino Real Traffic Signal project with funding from the Gas Tax fund. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a reg u l a r meeting held on the 25 t h day of _ March , 1998 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers James L.
