CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SUBMITTAL OF A GRANT APPLICATION
TO THE PENINSULA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION FOR $30,000 TO FUND
THE COMPUTER LEARNING LAB FOR A SECOND YEAR, AND UPON
RECEIPT OF SAID GRANT FUNDS APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE
1997-1998 OPERATING BUDGET (.NO. 98-12)
WHEREAS, Project Read desires to apply for a $30,000 grant from the Peninsula Community
Foundation to continue to offer a small computer assisted learning lab in the West Orange Library basement
for adult learners in the Project Read program; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
that it hereby authorizes the submittal of a grant application to the Peninsula Community Foundation and, in
the event of receipt of said grant funds, approves an amendment to the 1997-1998 Operating Budget (No.
98-12) to add the grant funds for use by Project Read.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City
Council of the City of South San Francisco at a re§ ti ] a r meeting held on the 13th day of
May , 1998 by the following vote:
