HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 64-1998RESOLUTION NO. 64-98 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AWARD OF CONTRACT TO STOLOSKI & GONZALEZ INC., IN THE AMOUNT OF $28,612 FOR THE ALIDA WAY / PONDEROSA ROAD STORM DRAIN PROJECT, APPROVING THE PROJECT BUDGET IN THE AMOUNT OF $39,473. AND AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE 1997-1998 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT PROGRAM BUDGET (CIP 98-24) WHEREAS, staff recommends that the construction contract be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder, Stoloski & Gonzalez Inc., in an amount of $28,612; and WHEREAS, this project involves installing a new storm drain at the intersection of Alida Way and Ponderosa Road; and WHEREAS, this project is included in the 1997-98 Capital Improvement Program with appropriated funds from Measure A in the amount of $10,871; and WHEREAS, an additional amount of $28,602 from the Gas Tax will be needed to cover the costs for the construction, contingencies, and engineering. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the City Council hereby authorizes an award of contract to Stoloski & Gonzalez, Inc. in the amount of $28,612 for the Alida Way / Ponderosa Road Storm Drain Project, approves the project budget in the amount of $39,473 and authorizes an amendment to the 1997-98 Capital Improvement Project budget (CIP 98-24) to add $28,602 to the Storm Drain project with funding from the Gas Tax Funds. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regul ar meeting held on the 27th day of May , 1998 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers James L.
