CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO PREPARE AND EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH
C.G. UHLENBERG FOR EXTERNAL AUDITOR SERVICES
WHEREAS, a request for proposal was sent to a comprehensive list of auditors
and twO companies responded; and
WHEREAS, the accounting staff of the Finance Department has reviewed the
proposals; and
WHEREAS, based on the evaluations and the quoted prices, staff recommends
the firm of C.G. Uhlenberg & Company of Redwood City to be approved as external
auditors for the City of South San Francisco for fiscal year 1997-98, 1998-99, and 1999-
2000; and
WHEREAS, the proposed contract to be executed by the City Manager is for a
three-year period with a starting cost of Thirty-five thousand, three hundred and seventy-
five dollars ($35,375.00); and
WHEREAS, based on performance and changes in the cost of living, there ~vill be
an option to extend the agreement for an additional three years; and
WHEREAS, the cost of this contract for services is included each year in the
Finance Departments budget.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
South San Francisco that the City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to prepare
and execute an agreement with C.G. Uhlenberg for external auditor services with first
year costs not to exceed $35,375.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by
the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a re§ul ar meeting held on
the 27th day of May ,1998 by the following vote:

Karyl Matsumoto and Mayor Eugene
