CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE 1997- 98 OPERATING BUDGET (NO. 98-13) TO ADD $400,000 TO THE CITY ATTORNEY'S DEPARTMENT BUDGET FOR LITIGATION EXPENSES ASSOCIATED WITH THE CONDEMNATION AND PERSONNEL ACTIONS WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco is presently engaged in condemnation actions involving the Oyster Point widening, the acquisition of the building at Spruce and Grand Avenue, and the acquisition of the South San Francisco Conference Center; and WHEREAS, the City is presently involved in personnel litigation. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the City Council hereby approves an amendment to the 1997-98 Operating Budget (No. 98-13) allocating $400,000 to the City Attorney's department budget for litigation expenses associated with the condemnation actions involving the Oyster Point widening ($40,000), the acquisition of the Conference Center ($20,000), the acquisition of the building at Spruce and Grand Avenue ($40,000) and personnel litigation ($300,000). Funding for this budget appropriation shall be allocated from the undesignated general fund reserve ($320,000), the Shearwaater redevelopment tax increment funds ($40,000), and the Downtown Central Redevelopment tax increment funds ($40,000).
