HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 126-1997CITY RESOLUTION NO. 126-97 COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE 1997-1998 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT BUDGET TO ADD $300,000 TO THE BUDGET FOR DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF A TRAFFIC SIGNAL ON GATEWAY BOULEVARD AND INSTALLATION OF A INTERCONNECT SYSTEM ALONG GATEWAY BOULEVARD BETWEEN OYSTER POINT BOULEVARD AND EAST GRAND AVENUE AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PREPARE AN EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH RKH-CIVIL AND TRANSPORTATION ENGINEERING FOR DESIGN OF THE PROJECT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $14,280 WHEREAS, the City desires to design and construct a traffic signal on Gateway Boulevard at the entrance to the Gateway Business Park and the future development of Lot 9 within the Gateway Specific Plan; WHEREAS, the City further desires to install a traffic signal interconnect system along Gateway Boulevard between Oyster Point Boulevard and East Grand Avenue; WHEREAS, the City desires to retain RKH-Civil and Transportation Engineering to design both these projects; WHEREAS, the total costs of these projects including design is expected to be approximately $300,0O0. NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that it hereby approves an amendment to the 1997-98 Capital Improvement Project budget (CIP 98-011) to add $300,000 for the design and installation of a traffic signal adjacent to Lot 9 on Gateway Boulevard and to install a traffic signal interconnect along Gateway Boulevard between East Grand Avenue and Oyster Point Boulevard, with funding from the Gateway Assessment District. /// /// /// /// /// /// BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the City Manager is hereby authorize to prepare and execute a contract with RKH-Civil Engineering to design the intersection and interconnect system at an amount not to exceed $14,280. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regu 1 ar meeting held on the 12th day of_ November, 1997 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers James L.
