CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN EMERGENCY EXPENDITURE TO REPAIR
THE SANITARY SEWER LINE ON LITTLEFIELD AVENUE IN THE AMOUNT
OF $75.000
WHEREAS, an existing 10" diameter main sewer line located in the street between 222 and 240
Littlefield Avenue has failed; and
WHEREAS, staff contacted several contractors who perform this type of work and were able to obtain
two informal bid/estimates prior to selecting one based on price and immediate availability; and
WHEREAS, funding for this project is provided by the Sewer Enterprise Fund and adequate reserves
exist.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE 1T RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
that it hereby authorizes an emergency expenditure to repair the sanitary sewer line on Littlefield Avenue in
the amount of $75,000. The City Council further approves an amendment to the 1997-1998 Capital
Improvement Program budget ( CIP 98-9) to add $75,000 for repair of the sanitary sewer line on Littlefield.
