CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN
TI-IE CITY/COUNTY ASSOCIATION OF GOVERNMENT AND THE
CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO FOR BUS ROUTE
REPAIR/MAINTENANCE PROGRAM IN THE AMOUNT UP TO
$31,698.00 FOR REIMBURSEMENT
WHEREAS, staff has applied for project funding under the Intermodal Surface Transportation
Efficiency Act (ISTEA) for the Bus Route Repair/Maintenance Program; and
WHEREAS, this program has been established to repair and/or maintain streets or roads which
have been utilized by SAMTRANS buses; and
WHEREAS, the maximum ISTEA contribution to an eligible project is 2/3 of the total cost of
eligible items allowed for repair or maintenance; and
WHEREAS, under this program, staff submitted an application for funding for two bus route
streets in this year's 1997-1998 Street Resurfacing Project - Orange Avenue and Avalon Drive; and
WHEREAS, at the C/CAG January 1997 meeting, only Avalon Drive was approved in an amount
up to $31,698.00; and
WHEREAS, C/CAG requires that each agency adopt a resolution to executive an Agreement
between C/CAG and the City for receiving the Program ISTEA fund; and
WHEREAS, by adopting the attached resolution/agreement, the City will receive $31,103.00 from
the available funds allocated to the City ($31,698.00).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
that is hereby authorizes an agreement between the City/County Association of Government (C/CAG and
the City of South San Francisco for Bus Route Repair/Maintenance Program in the amount up to
$31,698.00 for reimbusement.
