HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 92-1997RESOLUTION NO. 92=97 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION REJECTING ALL BIDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT PLAY AREA RENOVATIONS AT SELLICK, BRENTWOOD, ORANGE, GARDINER AND PARADISE VALLEY PARKS AND AUTHORIZE STAFF TO RE-ADVERTISE FOR }lIDS FOR THE SUBJECT PROJECT WHEREAS, the City has been working with Robert Mowat Associates to design play area renovations at Sellick, Brentwood, Orange, Gardiner, and Paradise Valley Parks to bring those parks into compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act; and WHEREAS, on April 23,1997 the City Council approved the project plans and specifications and authorized advertising for bids for construction of the renovations; and WHEREAS, it was determined that the proposal received from Community Playground was non- responsive due to the fact that it contained some discrepancies within the calculations for each park site, and the bid form omitted the total base bid for all parks combined; and WHEREAS, staff is recommending rejection of both bids and authorization to re-bid the project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that it hereby approves rejection of all bids for the construction of the Americans with Disabilities Act Play Area Renovations at Sellick, Brentwood, Orange, Gardiner and Paradise Valley Parks and authorizes staff to re-advertise for bids for the subject project. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a re gu 1 a r meeting held on the 13th day of~ August ,1997 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers James L.
