CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION APPROVING FUNDING FOR THE SAN MATEO
COUNTY CONVENTION AND VISITORS BUREAU AT $50,000
FOR FISCAl. YEAR 1997-98
WHEREAS, the City Council in FY 1996-97 reduced funding for the SMCC&VB from $113,300
to $50,000; and
WHEREAS, at the request of the City Council, the SMCC&VB was requested to establish a Fair
Formula for all member cities; and
WHEREAS, the Fair Funding Formula was based on asking all member cities to voluntarily
contribute between 4% and 5% of the prior year's TOT; and
WHEREAS, a number of cities have embraced the concept and hope to increase their
contributions over time to reach their targeted amounts.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco that it hereby authorizes Funding for the San Mateo County Convention and Visitors Bureau at
$50,000 for Fiscal Year 1997-98.
