CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A REQUEST FROM THE
AVALON/BRENTWOOD HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION TO RENAME THE
RENOVATED AVALON LOTS TO "AVALON MEMORIAL PARK"
WHEREAS, the City recently acquired and renovated 3.68 acres of open
space, commonly known as the Avalon Lots, from the South San Francisco Unified
School District; and
WHEREAS, the Avalon/Brentwood Homeowners Association desires to rename
the Avalon Lots to "Avalon Memorial Park"; and
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Commission has reviewed and
unanimously approved the name change.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
South San Francisco does hereby approve renaming of the Avalon Lots to Avalon
Memorial Park.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced
and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a
roqu]ar meeting held on the 9th day of April ,
1997 by th~ following vote:

Councilmembers James L. Datzman, Eugene R. Mullin, John R.
Penna, Robert Yee and Mayor Joseph A. Fernekes
