HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 27-1997RESOLUTION NO. 27- 97 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AWARD OF CONTRACTS TO KLEINFELDER, HARLAN-TAIT ASSOCIATES, AND BRIAN KANGAS FOULK FOR THE INSPECTION AND CONSTRUCTION STAKING RELATED TO THE NEW CORPORATION YARD PROJECT WHEREAS, the City has received and opened bids on the project to construct a new Corporation Yard for the City's Public Works, Parks, and Building Maintenance Divisions, located on North Canel Street; and WHEREAS, the City desires to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder, Kleinfelder for special inspection and material testing in an amount not to exceed $16,210; and WHEREAS, the City desires to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder, Harlan-Tait Associates for geotechnical inspection and testing in an amount not to exceed $25,000.00; and WHEREAS, the City desires to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder, Brian Kangas Foulk for construction staking in an amount not to exceed $14,500.00; and WHEREAS, funds for these contracts are available in New Corporation Yard Capital Improvement Program. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that it hereby authorizes the award of a contracts to Kleinfelder, Harlan-Tait Associates, and Brian Kangas Foulk for the Inspection and Construction Staking related to the New Corporation Yard Project. The City Manager is hereby authorized to prepare and execute the contracts. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the qfh dayof April . 1997 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers James L. Datzman, Euqene R. Mullin, John R. Robert Yee and Mayor Joseph A. Fernekes NOES: ABSTAIN: ABSENT: Penna, None None None City Clerk
