CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE AWARD AND EXECUTION OF
A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
AND G.E. CHEN CONSTRUCTION, INC. FOR THE AIRCRAFT
NOISE INSUI,ATION PROGRAM PHASE XIV
WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco has received bids for Phase XIV of the Aircraft Noise
Insulation Program; and
WHEREAS, G.E. Chen Construction, Inc. of San Mateo is the low bidder, and has successfully
completed several previous phases of the Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco,
The City Manager is authorized and directed to prepare and execute on behalf of the City of South
San Francisco a construction contract with the firm of G.E. Chen Construction, Inc. in the amount of Four
Million Four Hundred Ninety Six Thousand Dollars ($4,496,000.00) for the Aircraft Noise Insulation Program
- Phase XIV relating to the insulation of 580 homes, most of which are in Winston Manor and West Winston
Manor.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City
Council of the City of South San Francisco at a re§u]ar meeting held on the 28th day of
May ,1997 by the following vote.
AVES: Councilmembers James L. Datzman, Euqene R. Mullin, John R.
Penna, Robert Yee and Mayor Joseph A. Fernekes
