COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE AWARD AND EXECUTION
OF A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AND EDWARD W. SCOTT ELECTRIC
CO. FOR THE WESTBOROUGH STREET LIGHT PROJECT PHASE
II IN THE AMOUNT OF $156,362, AND APPROVING A BUDGET
AMENDMENT (NO.97-19) TO THE 1995-97 CAPITAL
IMPROVF. MFNT PROGRAM IN THE AMOUNT OF $220,000
WHEREAS, the City Council approved the plans and specifications and authorized advertisement
for bids for the Westborough Street Light Project Phase II; and
WHEREAS, this project will install a new conduit/conductor circuit wired in parallel and new
light fixtures; and
WHEREAS, Edward W. Scott Electric Co., Inc. was the low bidder for Phase II at $156,362.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
1. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City of
South San Francisco a construction contract with Edward W. Scott Electric Co., Inc. for the Westborough
Street Light Project Phase II in the amount of $156.362.
2. Budget amendment no. 97-19 transferring $220,000 from gas tax funds to the 1995-97
Capital Improvement Program budget is hereby approved.
