HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 24-1997 RESOLUTION NO. 24-97 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO INCLUDE MARTIN LUTHER KING'S BIRTHDAY AS A CITY ORSlq. RVFD HOIIDAY WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco currently provides it employees with a "floating" holiday which can be uses on Martin Luther King's birthday, but does not observe that day as a City holiday; and WHEREAS, of eleven cities reviewed in San Mateo County, all but one city observes Martin Luther King's Birthday as a holiday. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that Martin Luther King's birthday shall be a City observed holiday. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a re gu l a r meeting held on the 12 th day of Ma r ch , 1997 by the following vote: AYF~: £ouncilmembers James L.
