HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 144-1996RESOLUTION NO. 144-96 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH THE SAN MATEO COUNTY TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY FOR FUNDING THE SPRUCE AVENUE INTERCONNECT PROJECT WHEREAS, staff submitted an application for the Spruce Avenue Signal Interconnect Project to the San Mateo County Transportation Authority for fiscal year 1996-97 Measure A TSM funding; and WHEREAS, this project will interconnect existing traffic signals on Spruce Avenue from Miller Avenue to Mayfair Avenue, and replace four controllers; and WHEREAS, these improvements will allow traffic in the area to flow better with less delays. WHEREAS, funding of this project will come from measure A TSM and the balance of the funding will come from gas tax funds. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that: 1. The City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute the agreement with the San Mateo County Transportation Authority for funding the Spruce Avenue Interconnect Project. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on thg ?Sth day of September , 1996 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Joseph A.
