CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING $151,700 FROM THE STATE OF
CALIFORNIA UNDER THE OFFICE OF 'TF:AFFIC SAFETY -
DUI ENFORCEMENT AND AWAF:ENESS PROGF:AM AND
AMENDING THE POLICE DEPART:M:ENT' S 2010/2011
OPEF:ATING BUDGET.
WHEREAS, staff recommends the acceptance of a grant in the amount of $151,700 from the
State of California Office of Traffic Safety -DUI Enforcement and Awareness Program to reduce
the number of people injured and killed in alcohol-related traffic collisions; and
WHEREAS, the funds will be used to augment the operating budget of the Police Department
for FY 2010/2011.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT F:ESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco that the City Council hereby accepts funding in the amount of $151,700 from the State of
California Office of Traffic Safety, and amends the 2010-2011 Police Department's Operating
Budget to reflect this increase of funds..
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the
City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 22°d day of
September 2010 by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Pedro Gonzalez, Richard A. Garbarino, and Mayor Mark Addiego
NOES: None
ABSTAIN: None
ABSENT: Councilmember Karyl Matsumoto and Vice =Mayor Kevin Mullin.
