CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH SIMPLER SYSTEMS FOR
HOSTING, DESIGN AND MAINTENANCE SERVICES FOR AN
ENHANCED REPORTING PROGRAM FOR THE FINANCIAL
SYSTEM.
WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco has successfully implemented a new financial
software system to replace an outdated, inefficient legacy system, and
WHEREAS, the financial system is working well and is providing departments with useful
and timely financial and budgetary information; and
WHEREAS, Simpler Systems offers an application tool that makes financial reports easier
for departmental end users to create and run; and
WHEREAS, an easier access to online financial reports, including budget to actual reports
will facilitate more usage of the information capability of the nf;w financial system by end users and
thereby strengthen financial oversight; and
WHEREAS, funds have been budgeted for these services in the Finance/Human Resources
System Capital Improvement Project (CIP).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco that the City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute an agreement with
Simpler Systems for hosting, design, and maintenance services for its financial software reporting
tool.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was re~;ul.arly introduced and adopted by the
City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 22°d day of
September 2010 by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Pedro Gonzalez, Richard A. Garbarino, and Mayor Mark Addiego
NOES: None
ABSTAIN: None
ABSENT: Councilmember Karyl Matsumoto and Vice 1'vl~iyor Kevin Mullin.
