CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION REJECTING ALL BIDS FOR THE ORANGE
MEMORIAL PARK SWIMMING POOL BOILER
REPLACEMENT PROJECT NO. 510-99999-I'F1103.
WHEREAS, on August 9 and August 16, 2010, staff advertised a "Notice Inviting Bids" for
the boiler replacement at the Orange Memorial Park Swimming Pool; and
WHEREAS, on August 24, 2010, staff received two (2) bids, and City Mechanical, Inc. of
Hercules, California was the lowest responsible bidder in the amount of $25,322.49; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends rejecting all bids for the boiler replacement at Orange
Memorial Park Swimming Pool; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Contract Code Section 20166, a public entity retains the
discretion to reject all bids it receives on a given project; anti
WHEREAS, the City Council now wishes to reject all bids submitted for the Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco hereby rejects all bids for the construction of the Orange Memorial Park Swimming Pool
Boiler Replacement Project No. 510-99999-pfl 103.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the
City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 22°`~ day of
September 2010 by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Pedro Gonzalez, Richard A. Garbarino, and Mayor Mark Addie~o
NOES:
ABSTAIN: None
ABSENT: Councilmember Karvl Matsumoto and Vice ]Mayor Kevin Mullin.
