HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 122-1995RESOLUTION NO. 122-95 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF SEVEN POLZCE PATROL VEHICLES AND APPROVING BUDGET AMENDMENT NO. 96-2 TO THE 1995-1996 OPERATING BUDGET WHEREAS, in accordance with the Police Department's ongoing Equipment Replacement Program the 1995-96 budget has been approved in the amount of $60,000 toward the purchase of three (3) new patrol units; and WHEREAS, the current police fleet consists of "full size" vehicles with equipment that can easily be transferred to replacement vehicles; and WHEREAS, the City has since been notified that Chevrolet will no longer manufacture a "full size" Caprice police package after 1996; and WHEREAS, the Police Department is able to purchase four (4) additional full size 1996 Chevrolet Caprice vehicles keeping the fleet with the same equipment and not replacing any marked police units from the 1996-97 budget. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that: 1. It hereby authorizes the purchase three (3) new patrol units from the existing 1995-1996 Operating Budget. 2. It hereby amends the 1995-1996 Operating Budget (BA 96-2) to add $82,108.51 to the Equipment Replacement Program to purchase an additional four (4) new patrol units. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the ?~th day of 0ct0ber , 1995 by the following vote: AYES: Coulcilmembers Jack Drago, Joseph A. Fernekes, John R. Penna, Roberta Cerri Teglia and Mayor Robert Yee NOES: None ABSTAIN: N0n~ ABSENT: None BA-2.Pol City Clerk
