CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AWARDING
THE PURCHASE OF A QUINT TYPE FIRE
APPARATUS TO SIMON LADDER TOWERS,
INC. OF EPHRATA, PENN. THROUGH IT'S
VENDOR HIGH TECH FIRE APPARATUS, INC.
OF OAKDALE. CA.
WHEREAS, the City issued a request for bids for purchase of a
Quint type Fire Apparatus; and
WHEREAS, the City received bids from three firms, two of which
excluded portions of the required apparatus and were therefore non-
responsive.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of South San Francisco, that:
The City Manager is authorized and directed to prepare and
execute on behalf of the City of South San Francisco a purchase
contract with the firm of Simon Ladder Tower, Inc. of Ephrata,
Penn. through High Tech Fire Apparatus of Oakdale, CA. in the
amount of Five Hundred Twenty Seven Thousand Three Hundred Ten
Dollars ($527,310.00) for the purchase of a quint type Fire
Apparatus. Funding for this contract is provided for in the 1995-
1996 Vehicle Replacement Budget.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly
introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco at a re§u]ar meeting held on the 13th day of
December , 1995 by the following vote.
