CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING
A TRANSFER OF $125,000 FROM THE
UNDESIGNATED GENERAL FUND TO THE 1994-1995
CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM FOR CONSULTANT
AND CONSTRUCTION SERVICES AND STAFF
ADMINISTRATION AND AMENDING THE CAPITAL
IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (NO. 95-20) TO INCLUDE
ADDITIONAL SCOPE OF WORK AND AUTHORIZING
AMENDING A PURCHASE CONTRACT FOR THE REFUSE
REMOVAL IN AN ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF $100,000 IN
CONNECTION WITH GULL DRIVE REFUSE REMOVAL
WHEREAS,i United Parcel Service was to construct Gull Drive as
a requirement to their facility expansion in 1980, based on the
General Plan,i to provide a more direct access to Highway 101; and
WHEREAS,! Gull Drive, currently under construction,
connect Oyster Point and Forbes Boulevards; and
will
WHEREAS,i during construction a defined area of refuse was
identified and during the removal, materials at the lowest level
were identified to be hazardous which will require special handling
and some wily need to be transported out of state; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of South San !Francisco as follows:
1. It hereby authorizes and approves a transfer of $125,000
from the Undesignated General Fund to the 1994-1995 Capital
Improvement Program for consultant and construction services,
counsel services and staff administration for the Gull Drive
Project.
2. It hereby authorizes and approves an amendment to 1994-
1995 Capital improvement Program (No. 95-20) to amend the purchase
oontract to iinclude additional scope of work to classify and
dispose hazardous materials in an estimated amount of $100,000; and
3. It hereby authorizes amemding a purchase contract for an
additional amount not to exceed $100,000 to remove the refuse.
4. It ihereby authorizes staff to attempt to recover costs
from responsible party or parties.

introduced and adopted by the city Council of the City of South San
Francisco atl a regular meeting held on the 13th day of
December , 1995 by the following vote:
