CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AMENDMENT 96-7
TO THE 1995-1996 OPERATING BUDGET IN THE
AMOUNT OF $7,000 FOR PROJECT READ
COLLECTIONS IN FOUR LIBRARY LOCATIONS
WHEREAS, donations in the amount of $2,500 from the Project
Read gift account will be transferred to the general fund to
purchase additional memory for the office computer and new
instructional materials for Project Read Collections in four
library locations; and
WHEREAS, the State Library matching grant of $35,371 was
larger than projected; and
WHEREAS, $4,500 of this award will be used to pay for
coordination of the computer lab, tutoring materials, staff
development and a tutor/student recognition event.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of South San Francisco that it hereby authorizes Budget Amendment
96-7 in the amount of $7,000 to the 1995-1996 Project Read
Operating Budget to provide these library materials.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly
introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco at a r~g,J]ar meeting held on the 24th day of
