HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 34-1996RESOLUTION NO . 34-96 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SUBMITTAL OF A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE BICYCLE AND PEDESTRIAN ADVISOR COMMITTEE (BPAC) FOR BICYCLE/PEDESTRIAN PROJECTS IN SAN MATEO COUNTY WHEREAS,ithe Transportation Development Act (TDA), Article 13, provides funds for Bicycle/Pedestrian Projects in San Mateo County; and ~ WHEREAS,! applications must be submitted to the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisor Committee (BPAC) from the City/County Association of Government of San Mateo County (CCAG); and WHEREAS, if the projects are approved by the BPAC and the Metropolitan Transportation Commission, the City must maintain the facilities fo~ the life of the improvements; and WHEREAS, there is no required local match for the grant funds; and WHEREAS, the following projects will be submitted for these funds: Allerton Avenue Rubberized Railroad Crossing - Installation of a prefabricated rubberized railroad crossing; Gateway Boulevard Rubberized Railroad Crossing - Insta%lation of a prefabricated rubberized railroad crossing; Oys'ter Point Boulevard Rubberized Railroad Crossing - Ins'tallation of a prefabricated rubberized railroad crossing; Jun~pero Serra Boulevard Bike Lane - Installation of bike lanes on Junipero Serra Boulevard between Westborough Boulevard and Hickey Boulevard. Oyster Point Marina Bike Path - Installation of bike path at the southern edge of Oyster Point Marina. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South FranCisco that submittal of the application to the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisor Committee (BPAC) from the City/County Association Of Government of San Mateo County (CCAG) and the Metropolitan Transportation Commission is hereby approved. I herebyi certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a reqular meeting held on the 27th day of March ~ , 1996 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Eugene R.
