CITY COUNCIl, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION APPROVING BUDGET AMENDMENT 96-11
TO THE 1995-1996 LIBRARY OPERATING BUDGET
WHEREAS, i a $55,000 grant has previously been awarded to
Project Read from the California State Literacy Resource Center to
coordinate the origination of the California Adult Learner
Conference for 120 adult learners; and
WHEREAS, ithis Conference will be held at the Westin Hotel in
Burlingame oniMarch 8, 9 and 10, 1996; and
~the grant award has been augmented by an additional
WHEREAS,I
$6,302 in ord!er to pay for 20 additional learners to attend the
conference; a~d
WHEREAS, ian additional donation of $1,800 has been made from
Glencoe PubliShing to underwrite a reception for the conference
participants, i
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of South Wan Francisco hereby authorizes Budget Amendment 96-
11 in the amount of $8,102 to the 1995-1996 Library Operating
Budget.
I hereby !certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly
introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco at ~ regular meeting held on the 27th day of
