CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING
CIP 95-24 TO THE 1994-1995 CAPITAL
IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM FOR CAPACITY ANALYSIS
(AERATION BASIN NO. 7) AND AWARDING
CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT TO KIRKWOOD-BLY, INC.
IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $491,000
WHEREAS, the Capital Improvement Program has previously been
amended to include the Aeration Basin No. 7 project at a budget
cost of $569,200 ($84,200 for design); and
WHEREAS, a procurement contract for the blowers for $227,641
and another Contract for the fine bubbler system of $93,446 has
also been approved; and
WHEREAS, an additional $450,000 will be required from the
Sewer Enterprise Fund to cover the actual bid price for
construction, contingency and construction management.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of South San Francisco as follows:
1. It hereby authorizes and approves a transfer of $450,000
from the Sewer Enterprise Fund to the 1994-1995 Capital Improvement
Program (CIP 95-24) for Capacity Analysis (Aeration Basin No. 7).
2. It hereby awards the construction contract to Kirkwood-
Bly, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $491,000 for the construction
contract for the Water Quality Control plant Aeration Basin No. 7.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly
introduced and adopted by the city Council of the City of South San
Francisco at a requ]ar meeting held on the 10th day of
April , 1996 by the following vote:
