CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ASSESSMENT OF
COSTS FOR ABATEMENT PROPERTY AT 836
LARCH AVENUE (PARCEL NO. 012-014-240)
WHEREAS, on September 20, 1995 abatement work was done on the
property at 836 Larch Avenue to eliminate a weed and fire hazard;
and
WHEREAS, attempt was made without success to notify the
property owner Kenneth Morrel, currently occupying the residence to
inform him of the abatement billing in the amount of Three Thousand
Six Hundred and Five Dollars ($3,605.00); and
WHEREAS, pursuant to South San Francisco Municipal Code
§8.24.110 the City Council must approve, by resolution, a statement
of costs, and direct that the abatement costs be sent to the County
Tax Collector for recording and assessment against the property.
NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of South San Francisco that:
1) The cost of abatement listed above is assessed against
the property owner.
2) The City Clerk shall transmit a copy of this resolution
to the San Mateo County Controller who is hereby authorized to add
the assessment to the FY 1995-96 property tax roll.
3) The San Mateo County Tax Collector is hereby authorized
to collect the assessment in the same manner as all other property
taxes.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly
introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco at a r~gu]~r meeting held on the 8th day of
May , 1996 by the following vote.
