CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF SOUTH SAN
FRANCISCO AMENDING THE MASTER FEE SCHEDULE TO
ESTABLISH A TOWED VEHICLE RELEASE FEE PURSUANT
TO VEHICLE CODE SECTION 22850.5, A TOW VEHICLE
COMPANY PERMIT PROCESSING FEE PURSUANT TO
MUNICIPAL CODE SECTION 6.64.040 AND A TOW
VEHICLE OPERATOR PERMIT PROCESSING FEE
PURSUANT TO MUNICIPAL CODE SECTION 6.64.190
WHEREAS, Vehicle Code Section 22850.5 authorizes a city to
impose a towed vehicle release fee;
WHEREAS, Municipal Code Section 6.64.040 authorizes the City
to impose a nonrefundable tow vehicle company permit processing
fee;
WHEREAS, Municipal Code Section 6.64.190 authorizes the
imposition of a tow vehicle operator permit processing fee;
WHEREAS, staff has prepared an analysis which indicates the
actual costs incurred in issuing the tow vehicle company permit,
the tow vehicle operator permit and the towed vehicle release fee,
the details of which are set forth in the attached Staff Report;
and
WHEREAS, notice of the possible adoption of this fee was
published pursuant to Government Code Section 66018(b);
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco does hereby resolve that:
1. The following fees are added to the permit section of
Chapter 1 of the City of South San Francisco Master Fee Schedule:
Tow vehicle Company - Initial
Permit and Annual Renewal
$10~.00
Tow Vehicle Operator Permit
and Five-Year Renewal
$45.00 for
each driver
2. A towed vehicle release fee is hereby added to the
miscellaneous section of Chapter 1 related to the Police Department
of the City of South San Francisco Master Fee Schedule to read as
follows:
Towed Vehicle Release -
Negligent Operator
$50.00 per
vehicle
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly
introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco at a reqular meeting held on the 8th day of
March , 1995 by the following vote.
