CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION OF AWARD OF CONTRACT TO
PROVIDE ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR
REPLACEMENT OF STORM DRAIN NEAR COUNTRY
CLUB DRIVE AND EL CAMINO REAL
WHEREAS, a storm drain line located under an entry driveway
near the intersection of Country Club Drive and E1 Camino Real
collapsed and temporary repairs were made by the City forces; and
WHEREAS, a video inspection and alternatives investigation by
the firm of Whitley, Burchett and Associated, Inc. of the pipe was
conducted and it was determined that the entire line is severely
eroded and subject to failure; and
WHEREAS, with their previous knowledge and investigations of
the storm line, Whitley, Burchett and Associates, Inc. was selected
to design the permanent repairs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of South San Francisco, that the City Council hereby authorizes the
city Manager to enter into a contract with Whitley, Burchett and
Associates, Inc. in an amount not to exceed Thirteen Thousand
Dollars ($13,000.00) for the replacement of the failed storm drain
near Country Club Drive and E1 Camino Real.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that funding for this project is
included in the Capital Improvement Program from Measure A funds.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that staff should direct the subdivider
to install the subdivision improvements discussed in the staff
report.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly
introduced and adopted by the City Council of the city of South San
Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 12th day of
