CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION OF AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR
EVALUATION OF THE ALIDA WAY STORM WATER
CULVERT
WHEREAS, the City conducted a Storm Drainage Study for the
Francisco and Brentwood Drainage Basins; and
WHEREAS, one recommendation in that study called for the Alida
Way box culvert to be provided with a parallel pipe to increase its
capacity; and
WHEREAS, the drainage study concluded that the box culvert had
less than the 290 cubic feet per second of hydraulic capacity that
was projected to be needed to handle the 25 year return frequency
storm.
WHEREAS, with their current knowledge of the City's system,
Whitley, Burchett and Associates, Inc. was selected to perform the
Alida Way evaluation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of South San Francisco, that the City Council hereby authorizes the
City Manager to enter into a contract with Whitley, Burchett and
Associates, Inc. in an amount not to exceed Ten Thousand Dollars
($10,000.00) for the evaluation of the Alida Way Storm Water
Culvert.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that funding for this project is
included in the Capital Improvement Program from Measure A funds.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly
introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 12th day of
April , 1995 by the following vote:

Councilmembers Joseph A. Fernekes, John R. Penna,
Roberta Cerri Teqlia and Mayor Robert Yee
