HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 60-1995RESOLUTION NO. 60-95 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDMENT 95-8 TO THE 1994-1995 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT BUDGET AND AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR THE BOILER REPLACEMENT AT ORANGE PARK POOL WHEREAS, the boiler and the piping system at the Orange Park Pool are in need of repair; and WHEREAS, it would be more cost effective to replace the boiler with a more efficient unit; and WHEREAS, the City solicited competitive bids replacement of the boiler at Orange Park Pool; and for its WHEREAS, American Air Conditioning of Oakland was the most responsive and responsible bidder; and WHEREAS, funds for this Program are provided for Capital Improvement Program for replacing the boiler at Orange Park Pool ($65,000) plus an additional $40,000 from the Capital Improvement Program Fund; and WHEREAS,currently $10,600 has been obligated for design services and $1,030 for asbestos identification and abatement and $1,000 for City costs. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the city of South San Francisco as follows: 1. The City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with American Air Conditioning of Oakland in the amount of Eighty Five Thousand Eight Hundred Thirty Nine Dollars ($85,839) for the boiler replacement at Orange Park Pool. 2. The City Council hereby authorizes the addition of Forty Thousand Dollars ($40,000) to the 1994-95 Capital Improvement Program for replacement of the boiler at Orange Park Pool. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 28th day of June , 1995 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Jack Drago, Joseph A. Fernekes, John R. Penna, Roberta Cerri Teglia and Mayor Robert Yee NOES: None ABSTAIN: None ABSENT: None CIP-8.0P ATTEST:
