CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDMENT 95-9
TO THE 1994-1995 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT
BUDGET AND AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR TWO
REPLACEMENT RADIATORS AT THE WATER
OUALITY CONTROL PLANT
WHEREAS, a routine maintenance inspection revealed that the
radiators at the Water Quality Control Plant were leaking; and
WHEREAS, while in the process of repairing the leak it was
determined that the radiator cores were badly rusted and in need of
replacement;, and
WHEREAS, the City solicited competitive bids for replacement
of these radiators; and
WHEREAS, Sierra Detroit Diesel Allison of South San Francisco
was the most responsive and responsible bidder; and
WHEREAS, funds for this Project are provided for in the Sewer
Enterprise Fund; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of South San Francisco as follows:
1. The City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to
enter into a contract with Sierra Detroit Diesel Allison of South
San Francisco in the amount of Forty Six Thousand One Hundred Sixty
Seven Dollars ($46,167.00) for the two radiator replacements at the
Water Quality Control Plant.
2. The City Council hereby authorizes the addition of Fifty
Five Thousand Dollars ($55,000) from the Sewer Enterprise Fund to
the 1994-1995 Capital Improvement Program to provide sufficient
funds for the construction award, contingency and construction
management for this project.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly
introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco at a reqular meeting held on the 12th day of
July , 1995 by the following vote:

Councilmembers Jack Drago. John R. Penna, Roberta Cerri Teglia
and Mayor Robert Yee
