HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 80-1995 RESOLUTION NO. 80-95 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS AS A RIGHT-OF-WAY AGENT TO EXECUTE ALL RIGHT-OF-WAY CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR STATE AND FEDERALLY FUNDED PROJECTS WHEREAS, the City has applied for one Federally and two State funded grants for the following projects: Linden/Baden Avenue Signals Upgrade (Federal $167,000), Airport Boulevard Signal Interconnect (State $144,000) and Westborough Boulevard Signal Interconnect (State $75,00); and WHEREAS, in order to obtain Federal and State aid assistance in connection with State and Federally funded road projects, and for the State Department of Transportation to approve the projects for advertising, it is necessary that the City certify to the State Department of Transportation that the rights-of-way necessary for the proper execution of the projects will be or have been acquired; and WHEREAS, the State of California Department of Transportation, as provided for in the Local Programs Manual Volume 1, will accept right-of-way certifications signed by the Director of Public Works, if the City Council has by resolution authorized that person to sign said certifications; and WHEREAS, once the resolution is adopted a copy will be sent to the State of California Department of Transportation for their files for the current and any future Federally and State funded projects that may arise. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to execute all Right-of-Way Certifications required for State and Federally funded projects and directs the City Engineer to forward a copy of this resolution to the appropriate office of the State of California Department of Transportation. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 9th day of Auqust , 1995 by the following vote.
