HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 96-2010RESOLUTION NO. 96-2010 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCtJ, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION APPROVING VARIOUS EtUDGET ACTIONS THAT ALLOW STAFF TO CLOSE THE I3O0KS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2009-10 WHEREAS, staff recommends approving various bud;;et changes as described below; and WHERAS, such approval will result in a General Fund Undesignated Reserve of approximately $3.7 million as of June 30, 2010. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of South San Francisco hereby: 1. Adds $516,000 to the General Fund Operating Budget to cover Red Light Camera Expenses; 2. Approves the use of $1.2 million in accumulated payroll charges to the Health and Benefits Fund to be set aside for funding thc; Other Post Employment Benefits (OPEB) liability; 3. Confirms the General Fund Reserves shown on Page 2 of the Attachments. AND, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance is hereby authorized to make any budget changes consistent with what is presented herein as recommended by the City of South San Francisco's external auditors for 2009-10 in order to close the books for Fiscal Year 2009-10. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 27th day of October, 2010 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Pedro Gonzalez. Richard A,. Garbarino, and Karyl Matsumoto, Vice Mayor Kevin Mullin and Mayor Mark Adldiego NOES: None ABSTAIN: ABSENT: None ATTES
