CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION OF AWARD OF CONTRACT TO CONDUCT
A SERVICES DELIVERY ANALYSIS OF PUBLIC WORKS
AND PARKS AND RECREATION MAINTENANCE AND A
CITYWIDE SECRETARIAL/CLERICAL WORKLOAD ANALYSIS
WHEREAS, significant spending reductions and effectiveness
improvements were implemented in 1994-94 and there remains an
approximate One Million Dollars General Fund shortfall; and
WHEREAS, to identify options to address the shortfall by
improving organizational effectiveness, a first step would be to
analyze workloads, service levels and unit costs compared to the
market place; and
WHEREAS, proposals were received and evaluated by the City
Council Ad Hoc Committee and the scope of the analysis was reduced
to the City's maintenance services in Public works and Parks and
Recreation; and
WHEREAS, the scope also included a workload analysis and
recommendation for all clerical/secretarial services, except Police
clerical functions and Dispatch Center; and
WHEREAS, cost for the study would be $34,000 plus up to $3,000
for travel expenses.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of South San Francisco, that the City Council hereby authorizes the
City Manager to enter into a contract with Arroyo Seco Associates,
Inc. in the amount of Thirty Seven Thousand Dollars ($37,000.00)
for a service delivery analysis for City maintenance services in
Public Works and Parks and Recreation departments, as well as
clerical/secretarial services.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly
introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 22nd day of
June , 1994 by the following vote:
