CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION APPROVING REVISED SCOPE OF SERVICES
TO EXISTING CONTRACT WITH ARROYO SECO ASSOCIATES,
INC. PROVIDING FOR SURVEY OF CITY CODE ENFORCEMENT
ACTIVITIES
WHEREAS, significant spending reductions and effectiveness
improvements were implemented in 1993-94 and there remains an
approximate One Million Dollars General Fund shortfall; and
WHEREAS, to identify options to address the shortfall by
improving organizational effectiveness, a first step would be to
analyze workloads, service levels and unit costs compared to the
market place; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has previously approved a resolution
(Resolution No. 89-94) authorizing the City Manager to enter into
a contract with Arroyo Seco Associates, Inc. for a service delivery
analysis for City maintenance services in Public Works and Parks
and Recreation departments, as well as clerical/secretarial
services.
WHEREAS, the City Council's Ad Hoc Committee has subsequently
requested a proposal from Arroyo Seco Associates, inc. to expand
their scope of services to include all City Code Enforcement
Services; and
WHEREAS, Arroyo Seco Associates, Inc. has submitted and
expanded scope of services which would be performed at a cost not
to exceed an additional Eight Thousand Two Hundred Dollars
($8,200) .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of South San Francisco, that the City Council hereby authorizes the
City Manager to prepare and enter into a contract amendment with
Arroyo Seco Associates, Inc. to expand the scope of services of the
existing contract to include all city Code Enforcement services and
to increase the not to exceed contract amount by Eight Thousand Two
Hundred Dollars ($8,200).
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly
introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 13th day of
July , 1994 by the following vote:

Councilmembers Jack Drago, John R. Penna, Roberta Cerri Teglia,
Robert Yee and Mayor Joseph A. Fernekes
