CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A GRANT FROM THE
AETNA HEALTH PLANS OF NORTHERN CALIFORNIA
FUND FOR $10,000 AND APPROVING BUDGET
AMENDMENT NO. 95-1 TO THE 1994-1995
OPERATING BUDGET
WHEREAS, Aetna Health Plans of Northern California makes grant
funds available to local community agencies such as libraries and
the San Francisco Foundation administers the distribution of said
funds; and
WHEREAS, said funds will be utilized for the purchase of materials
for the South San Francisco Public Library on the subject of
consumer health; and
WHEREAS, grant funds in the amount of $10,000 have been
approved by the San Francisco Foundation for the South San
Francisco Public Library from the Aetna Health Plans of Northern
California Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of South San Francisco as follows:
1. The City Manager, on behalf of the City of South San
Francisco, is hereby authorized to accept a grant fund in the
amount of $10,000.00 from the San Francisco Foundation and execute
any and all documents necessary to receive such grant.
2. The amount of $10,000.00 is appropriated to the Library's
1994-1995 operating budget to be utilized for the purchase of said
materials.
3. There are no personnel costs associated with this grant
and no ongoing financial obligation for the City.
4. It is authorized as Budget Amendment No. 95-1 to the
Operating Budget.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly
introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 14th day of
September , 1994 by the following vote:

Councilmembers Jack Drago, John R. Penna, Robert Yee and
Mayor Joseph A. Fernekes
