HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 123-1994RESOLUTION NO. 123-94 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPROVAL OF THE PUBLIC SAFETY MANAGERS ORGANIZATION AS AN APPROPRIATE EMPLOYEE ORGANIZATION AND REPRESENTATION UNIT WHEREAS, a petition was received on June 30, 1994 from twelve employees representing fourteen various management positions in the City's Fire and Police Departments requesting that the Public Safety Managers Organization be recognized as the majority representative of these employees; and WHEREAS, said petition request has been evaluated in relation to the criteria in Section 3.08.090 of the Municipal Code; and WHEREAS, the Municipal Employee Relations officer has recommended that the Public Safety Managers Organization be recognized as representing a majority of these positions and is thus an appropriate representation unit. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the Public Safety Managers Organization representing the positions of Assistant Fire Chief Police Captain Fire Marshal Fire Battalion Chief Police Lieutenant be accepted as the representation unit for the majority of these positions as provided for in the South San Francisco Municipal Code. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 28th day of September , 1994 by the following vote. AYES: Councilmembers Jack Drago, Roberta Cerri Teglia and Mayor Joseph A. Fernekes NOES: Councilmember Robert Yee ABSTAIN: None ABSENT: Councilmember John R. Penna Public Safty. Mgr City Clerk
