CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
TO SIGN THE CERTIFICATES OF ACCEPTANCE FOR THE GRANT DEEDS
CONVEYED BY SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT TO
THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO FOR THOSE PORTIONS OF THE AVALON
AND ALTA LOMA SCHOOL PROPERTIES DESCRIBED IN THE GRANT DEED
WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco has entered into an
agreement with the South San Francisco Unified School District for
the purchase and sale of real property located at the Avalon and
Alta Loma school sites;
WHEREAS, the City has fulfilled conditions precedent to the
purchase of that property including the approval of parcel maps for
the respective school site properties; and
WHEREAS, Government Code Section 27281 requires that prior to
recordation of any deed conveying real property to a city there
must be a Certificate of Acceptance or Resolution of Acceptance
attached to that deed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the
City of South San Francisco, that:
1. The Mayor of the City of South San Francisco is hereby
authorized to execute on behalf of the City of South San Francisco
the Certificates of Acceptance, accepting the grant deeds which
convey portions of the Alta Loma and Avalon school sites to the
City of South San Francisco, provided that such deeds are approved
as to form by the City Attorney and provided that the legal
descriptions are approved by the city Engineer.
2. The City Council further consents to the recordation of
said grant deeds.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly
introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco at a re§u]ar meeting, held on the 28th day of
September, 1994, by the following called vote:
