HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 93-1993RESOLUTION NO. 93-93 CITY CgUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION APPROVING BUDGET RECOMMENDATION FOR THE BRAVO PIZZA AND MAGIC CARPETS IN THE DOWNTOWN COMMERCIAL REHABILITATION PROGRAM WHEREAS, the Downtown Citizens Review Committee has recommended funding for two businesses in the Downtown area; and WHEREAS, Bravo Pizza located at 334 Grand Avenue is in need of exterior painting; and WHSREAS, the Committee has recommended a $5,000 grant for exterior painting to enhance the character of this building; and WHEREAS, the second project involves Magic Carpets located a 388 Grand Avenue; and WHEREAS, Magic Carpets is a new business located in an historic building which is in need of new signage; and WHEREAS, the Committee has recommended a $1,000 grant to install new lettering, displaying the name of the business, which will preserve the character of the historic building design. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city Council of the City of South San Francisco as follows: 1. A grant of $5,000 is awarded to Bravo Pizza from Community Development Block Grant Funds for exterior painting of the building. 2. A grant of $1,000 is awarded to Magic Carpets from Community Development Block Grant Funds for new signage. 3. The City Manager is hereby authorized to negotiate and execute any and all documents necessary to assure that the above- listed grants are awarded and the projects are carried out. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 28th day of July , 1993 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Jack Draqo, Joseph A.
