CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION REJECTING ALL BIDS AND
AUTHORIZING A RE-BID OF CONTRACT FOR
THE WEST ORANGE LIBRARY SYSTEMS
FURNISHINGS
WHEREAS, pursuant to the call for bids as provided in
Resolution No. 63-93 adopted June 9, 1993, and published notice,
bids were publicly opened, examined and declared on Thursday, the
15th day of July, 1993, for the West Orange Library Systems
Furnishings; and
WHEREAS, there was only one bid received; and
WHEREAS, such bid excluded the engineer's estimate by more
than one hundred (100%) percent; and
WHEREAS, it does not appear that negotiations with the sole
bidder could reduce the bid to an acceptable level.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of South San Francisco, that:
1. The Council hereby rejects all bids and authorizes staff
to re-bSd the project based upon a modified set of plans and
specifications.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly
introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 25th day of
Au~lJ~t , 1993 by the following vote:

Councilmembers Jack Drago, Joseph A. Fernekes, John R. Penna,
Robert Yee, and Mayor Roberta Cerri Teglia
