CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT
FOR THE DESIGN OF SEISMIC UPGRADES OF
CITY HALL AND THE GRAND AVENUE LIBRARY
WHEREAS, proposals were submitted and interviews performed for
design services associated with the seismic upgrade of City Hall
and the Grand Avenue Library; and
WHEREAS, the scope of services include developing structural
options and reviewing them with the City Council, Historic
Preservation Commission and the Library Board; and
WHEREAS, City Council will be asked to select an option for
final design and construction bidding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of South San Francisco, that the City Council hereby authorizes the
City Manager to negotiate, enter into and execute a contract with
Degenkolb Structural Engineers for design of seismic upgrades of
the City Hall and Grand Avenue Library in an amount not to exceed
One Hundred Fifty Six Thousand One Hundred Thirty Six Dollars
($156,136). A copy of the contract is on file in the Office of the
City Clerk.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly
introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco at a requ]ar meeting held on the 25th day of
August , 1993 by the following vote:

Councilmembers Jack Drago, Joseph A. Fernekes, John R. Penna,
Robert Yee, and Mayor Roberta Cerri Te§lia
