HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 120-1993 RESOLUTION NO. 120-93 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION AMENDING CHAPTER 1 OF THE MASTER FEE SCHEDULE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO RELATING TO PARAMEDIC FEES WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to amend the Master Fee Schedule to more closely reflect the costs paramedic service transport for non-resident patients; and WHEREAS, Government Code §54990 et seq. provides a procedure for levying certain fees by local agencies; and WHEREAS, the City Council on September 8, 1993 conducted a properly noticed public hearing at which time an opportunity was given to the members of the public to make written or oral presentations concerning the proposed fee; and WHEREAS, at least ten days prior to the public hearing the City made available to the public an estimate of costs required to provide ~he services for which the fee is levied and the revenue sources anticipated to provide the services, including general fund revenues; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the cost of providing the foregoing services, including estimated costs, and the revenue sources anticipated to provide the services, including general fund revenues; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the public response to the proposed fee; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that it hereby adopts the following fees: For non-resident patients transported from outside the incorporated city limits fees shall equal those charged by tke advanced life support provider under contract with San M&teo County. For advanced life support transport: $465.00 base rate plus $10.00 per mile and the cost for replacing supplies used in providing fee service. For basic life support: A base rate of $300.00 shall be charged. The Director of Finance is directed to amend the Master Fee Schedule to reflect the fee. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all prior fee resolutions are repealed to the extent they are inconsistent with the rate stated above.
