CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING FUNDS FROM AETNA
HEALTH PLANS OF CALIFORNIA FOR $12,000 AND
APPROVING BUDGET AMENDMENT NO. 94-2 TO THE
1993-1994 OPERATING BUDGET
WHEREAS, the Aetna Health Plans of California has awarded
$12,000 ~o the South San Francisco Public Library for the purpose
of increasing the availability of current information on consumer
health to residents of North San Mateo County; and
WHEREAS, said funds will be utilized to purchase equipment to
be used ~o access the "Health Reference Center"; and
WHEREAS, said funds will also be used to purchase books,
periodicals and other materials for public use; and
WHEREAS, there will be no financial obligation for the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of South San Francisco as follows:
1. The City Manager, on behalf of the City of South San
Francisco, is hereby authorized to accept funds in the amount of
$12,000.00 from Aetna Health Plans of California and execute any
and all documents necessary to receive such funds.
2. The amount of $12,000.00 is appropriated to the Library's
operating budget to be utilized for this project.
3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
adoption.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly
introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 22nd day of
September , 1993 by the following vote:
AYES:
Councilmembers Jack Draqo, Joseph A. Fernekes, John R. Penna,
Robert Yee, and Mayor Roberta Cerri Te~lia
