CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION OF AWARD OF CONTRACT T0
TRICO CONSTRUCTION COMPANY FOR PHASE VIII
OF THE AIRCRAFT NOISE INSULATION PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco has solicited bids
for the Aircraft Noise Insulation Project, Phase VIII; and
WHEREAS, Trico Construction Company of San Francisco has
submitted a bid in the amount of One Million Eighty Two Thousand
Seven Hundred Sixty Dollars ($1,082,760); and
WHEREAS, Trico Construction Company's bid is the lowest
responsible bidder; and
WHEREAS, the subject bid is substantially beneath the
engineer's estimate; and
WHEREAS, due to the favorable bid, there will be sufficient
funds left in the project budget to insulate approximately
thirty-seven (37) additional homes.
NOW, ~HEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of South San Francisco that:
1) The Aircraft Noise Insulation Project, Phase VIII contract
is hereby awarded to Trico Construction Company in an amount not
to exceed $1,082,760.
2) The City Manager is hereby directed and authorized to
execute any and all documents, including change orders, necessary
to assure that Phase VIII of the Aircraft Noise Insulation
Project is completed.
3) The Consulting Agreement with the City's architects
(Corlett, Skaar and DeVoto) is hereby amended to include design
and construction support services for the potential additional
homes at a cost not to exceed $70,000.
4) The City Manager is authorized to execute the necessary
documents to amend the Corlett, Skaar and DeVoto contract.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly
introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco at a requ]ar meeting held on the 8th day of
December
